In 2021, Rejesh Satiija stepped back from his executive responsibilities at the Sun & Sand Group of Companies, stepping away from day-to-day leadership of the organisation he had built and led since founding it in 2001.
The years that followed were a period of reflection rather than retreat. He spent more time with family, deepened his long-standing commitment to philanthropy and spiritual practice, and began exploring newer fields of interest — including infrastructure development, AI-enabled healthcare, and community-focused technology — that now sit alongside his core mining and metals business.
In 2025, following continued engagement with the Group's board, partners and long-standing associates, Rejesh Satiija returned to the Sun & Sand Healthcare Group of Companies as Group Chairman, resuming formal leadership of the business at a moment when it continues to expand across mining, real estate, agriculture and emerging technology.
“I stepped away for a while to grow in other ways — as a person, a father, and someone trying to give back. Coming back as Chairman felt less like a return and more like a natural next chapter.” — Rejesh Satiija
Since his return, Rejesh Satiija has focused the Group's efforts on continuity of its established mining and metals operations, while accelerating newer investments in infrastructure, technology and healthcare innovation — the same priorities outlined elsewhere on this site.
